Magazine Publishing
I thoroughly enjoyed the Magazine Publishing module, and this is due to the principle I was providing a product (a print publication) to Consumers. I decided to formulate awareness on mental health issues targeted towards Men. I found there was a niche market for a Men's publication. This is due to the principle that although there are publications such as GQ and Men's Health they categorise two types of individual, rather than finding a 'middle ground'. I conducted primary research and understood that there would be an interest in this type of publication.

Media Kit
I was able to portray my findings in a 'Media Kit', this allowed me to show my business objectives in a creative way whilst also representing the purpose of the publication.
Reaching the Audience
In order to emphasise this aspect I had to use my research on the market to show how my product would be distributed, and in particular which locations. I learnt that the way a magazine's readership is different in comparison to how a typical business would sell a product. Although I may only sell 35,000 my magazine has a x3 higher readership than sales rate, and this due to the concept that it will be read at Train Station and Airport Lounges.
Engagement
In order to spread the awareness and think of my product in the future I decided to form a partnership with Estee Lauder. From my experience at Selfridges, I learnt that Estee Lauder were constantly looking for opportunities to form partnerships with brands that would emphasise skin-care for Men. Therefore, I believe this had the potential to work.
External SWOT
In order to show I considered the external environment to my business I conducting a SWOT. This helped me analyse how I can adapt my publication in order for it to remain unique.
